SailFuture’s independent living program provides structure, community, and support to young adults making the transition from foster care to adulthood.
Youth have the option to stay in a shared 3-bedroom home or a shared 2-bedroom apartment, both located in St. Petersburg nearby other SailFuture programs.
While in our independent living program, youth continue to receive wraparound services and support from the SailFuture team.

Michael Long, Executive Director
We're always looking for qualify and compassionate adults to help serve teens in foster care.
A more recent project is SailFuture Academy, a St. Petersburg foster care agency that is opening a vocational high school this fall for lower-income who have become disengaged in traditional high school settings.
The program will focus on giving students career skills in a real-life environment.

SailFuture serves teens throughout the St. Petersburg community, and with the purchase and recent redevelopment of the historic Norwood Elementary School, the innovative organization is better equipped to prepare kids for success as adults.
